Borgo Celano Tomato

This is a 500-year-old heirloom tomato from Italy. These plants are compact, which makes them great for containers and patios. They are an indeterminate, midseason variety with huge yields. The fruits weigh about 2oz (ca. 76 gram)—3oz (113.4 gram) with a dark red color. The flavor of these cherry tomatoes are more on the acidic side. They would be great in salads, sauces, canning, or even salsa. These tomatoes are also considered a long keeper due to the long shelf life they have after being picked.
