Wisconsin Chief Tomato

This is a heirloom tomato that was bred to be a processing tomato. It is a mid-late season plant with regular leaf foliage. This took top honors in 2018 in the slicing division at Seed Savers Tomato Tasting Event. Back in 1957 the University of Wisconsin developed and released this variety. These are a Semi Determinate plant that produces 7-10 oz red beefsteak tomatoes. The flavors are well balanced which makes for a great slicing or sandwich tomato.
