This is not only a pretty pepper, but it is also a super hot pepper. The coloring on the outside with start off purple, then as they ripen the red coloring comes out. Our were more orangish red once they ripened, but still had some purple to them as well. But when they are on the plant they are really purple and look absolutely gorgeous. These have a Scoville range of 600,000 + (SHU). They could be used in powders, sauces, salsas, or add a bit to your meals when cooking.
