Zebra Ezel Tomato has a great combination of complex flavors. It combines sweetness, with acidic and tartness, definitely in my top 10. An early to mid-season tomato plant with regular leaves. This is an indeterminate type, too. These are a heavy producer of 10 ounce – 16 ounce black striped beefsteaks. Our first picking off of 2 plants was 14 pounds. Some uses for these tomatoes would be slicing, canning, fresh eating, and garnishes. These will certainly add flavor and elevate any meal. This was my first year growing Zebra Ezel. Appearance is beautiful and quite similar to another favorite, Girl Girl's Weird Thing. Zebra Ezel was very healthy and productive, and I really liked the flavor, which was on the sweeter side with good depth. Maintains flavor well even as it gets beyond prime ripeness. It's not particularly meaty and did often have some concentric cracking due to their thin skin, but I thought it was overall a great tomato that will be back in my garden next year.
