10 Finger Of Naples Tomato

This is an heirloom tomato from Nova Scotia. It is a mid-season tomato plant with regular leaf foliage. A determinate variety that will produce for 4 to 6 weeks, then they are done yielding fruits. This is a compact variety, so they would be great for container gardens. They produce these red, elongated tomatoes that range in weight from 1 ounce up to 3 ounces. A very meaty tomato that has more of a sweet flavor. An excellent tomato for canning, pastes, and sauces. If you like canning tomatoes, you may like Dwarf Saucy Mary Tomato. In Memphis, these were prolific and delicious. I may have had one or two that had blossom end rot, but not in any way I felt was abnormal or a problem. these have become my very favorite sauce tomatoes because they're early, they are prolific, The plant is 3 ft tall, and they are very tasty for a paste tomato. I find them as tasty as Marzano's for sure, and I don't have to wait the extra several weeks-- I'm in and out and done before Marzano's come in. (If the top rating had been excellent instead of perfect, I would have chosen that. But, there is no perfect tomato so I just can't choose it!)
