3945 Tomato

This is an heirloom tomato that dates back to WW2. Joe Roberts found this tomato on a WW2 battlefield and brought them back to America. It was named 3945 Tomato because the war started in 1939 and ended in 1945. A mid-season tomato plant with regular leaf foliage. It is an indeterminate variety that produce these large pink fruits. They are very meaty and juicy with a well-balanced flavor. An excellent tomato for slicing, sandwiches, canning, or added to garnishes. If you like this tomato, you may like Curtis Cheek Tomato.
