Alpine Tomato

This heirloom tomato was introduced back in the 1950s. It is an early season tomato plant with regular leaf foliage. An indeterminate variety that produces these golf ball sized tomatoes. The weights can range in size from 2 ounces up to 4 ounces in size.  Being an indeterminate type, they will keep yielding fruits until frost time if you take care of your plants. These tomatoes have a good balance in flavor but leans a little more to the acidic side. They can be used for salads, canning, and sauces. If you like Alpine Tomato, you may like Asonte Tomato.
