These were bred at the Beaverlodge Research Center in Alberta, Canada. Beaverlodge Tomato is also known as Beaverlodge 6808 Slicer, This is an early season variety with regular leaves. But with these being an early plant, these would be good for farmers markets, but we suggest growing more than one. A determinate plant with average yield. Being a determinate variety, they will to produce for 4 to 6 weeks, then they are done. They are a compact variety as well and would work great in container gardens. It produces these 4 oz (ca. 151 gram) red beefsteak tomatoes. The flavor is well-balanced that leans toward the acidic side. They could be used for slicers, salsa, or salads.
