These were bred at the Beaverlodge Research Center in Alberta, Canada. Beaverlodge Tomato is also known as Beaverlodge 6808 Slicer, This is an early season variety with regular leaves. But with these being an early plant, these would be good for farmers markets. We suggest growing more than one so you have more to take to the markets. A determinate tomato plant with average yields. Being a determinate variety, they will to produce for 4 to 6 weeks, then they are done. This is a compact variety as well and would work great in container gardens. It produces these 4 oz red beefsteak tomatoes. The flavor is well-balanced but leans toward the acidic side. They could be used for slicing, salsa, or salads.
