Cherokee Lime Stripes Tomato

This was stabilized by Bill Jeffers of Indiana. This was a selection he worked without of Cherokee Lime Tomato. These are a late season plant, an indeterminate tomato. This plant produces these gorgeous bicolored striped 5oz (ca. 189 gram)- 8oz (ca. 302 gram) beefsteaks. The flavor is exquisite and complex sweet and acidic but citrus notes, almost lime tasting at times. This is a regular leaf variety also an open pollinated fruit. That make for good as a slicer, canning, or add it to garnishes to enhance the flavors. If you like bicolored, green tomatoes, you may want to check out Pink Zebra Tomato.
