De Giorgi Acme Tomato

De Giorgi Acme Tomato is also known by Acme De Giorgi Tomato. This is a rare heirloom tomato offered back in the early 1900s by the De Giorgi Brothers. These tomatoes are not to be confused with the more common Acme tomato by Livingstons. This is a completely different fruit. These are a lot bigger, weighing over one pound. Also, this is a mid to late season variety with regular leaves. Plus, these are an indeterminate plant. Since this produces these large fruits, make sure to stake your plants very well. The flavor of these tomatoes are juicy and very well-balanced. They also are very flavorful with an old-timey taste too. These tomatoes could be used for everything from sauces, canning, and slicing.
