Egyptian Tomato

We got these tomatoes from a commercial seed company some years back. This is a rare tomato with an unknown origin. It is a late season variety with regular leaf foliage. An indeterminate variety that produce these elongated red tomatoes. The weights can range from 3 ounces up to 6 ounces. These fruits are great for sauces, pastes, and canning. The flavors are bold and on the acidic side with a touch of sweetness, but not much. If you like Egyptian Tomato, you may like Opalka Tomato.
