Gigant Kuby Tomato

A rare heirloom tomato from Russian. Its Russian name translates to Giant Cuban. These black tomatoes are a mid-season plant with regular leaves that produces these beautiful beefsteaks. This indeterminate plant yields lots of these tomatoes with a range of weights from 8oz (ca. 302 g) to 12oz (ca. 454 g). These plants are heat tolerant and thrive in hot weather. They make for a great slicing tomato for sandwiches or for canning. The flavor is a bit complex, being sweet and tart, but are very juicy.
