This is a rare heirloom tomato that comes from Kentucky, These seed became available from the Howard family. They got them from the Hatfield family who grew them since the 1930s. This is a late season tomato plant with regular leaf foliage. An indeterminate variety that produces these Large beefsteak tomatoes. The weights can range in size from 8 ounces up to 14 ounces. Be sure to stake your plants well. This is a very delicious tomato with a great old- timey taste. An excellent variety for slicing, farmer markets, and deli trays.
