Description
Hazelfield farm Tomato
This tomato was found as a volunteer back at Hazelfield Farm in Wheatley, Kentucky by Teresa and Raphe. They used to grow for farmer’s markets in Lexington, Frankfort, Cincinnati and sometimes Louisville. Raphe found it in the field on the farm and stabilized it for 10 years. Then he shared it with Gary Millwood. Gary sent the seed to Tatiana Kouchnareva in 2006. It is a mid-season tomato plant with regular leaf foliage. The weights of this fruit can vary from 9 oz. to 16 oz. These delicious red beefsteak tomatoes are meaty, balanced, and have an old-timey taste. They could be used for slicing, canning, and sandwiches. If you like Hazelfield Farm Tomato, then you may also like John Henry Tomato. Be sure to check out our YouTube channel.
