Hazelfield farm Tomato
This tomato was found as a volunteer back at Hazelfield Farm in Wheatley, Kentucky by Teresa and Raphe. they use to grow for the farmers markets in Lexington, Frankfort, Cincinnati and sometimes Louisville. Raphe found it in the field on the farm and stabilized it for 10 years and then shared it with Gary Millwood. Gary sent the seed to Tatiana Kouchnareva in 2006. A open pollinated, regular leaf tomato that is a red beefsteak that makes a great slicer and canner weighing from 9oz-16oz. Also does well at markets. These are a mid-season, indeterminate with a great balance, old timey taste and meaty.Another tomato you may like with an old timer taste is John Henry tomato.
