This heirloom tomato was created John Baer from Maryland during 1914. It is a mid-season tomato plant with regular leaf foliage. This is an indeterminate variety that will produce until frost time if you take care of your plants. The weights of this beefsteak can range from 5 oz. to 7 oz. in size. These outstanding red tomatoes are balanced with a light towards the acidic side and have a touch of tanginess. They would be an excellent fruit for canning, sauces, and pastes.
