Kentucky Plate Tomato

We got this tomato from Seed Savers for our 2021 growing season. This is an heirloom tomato. We grew 5 plants, and they all had regular leaf foliage. Kentucky Plate Tomato is supposed to have potato leaf foliage. This means somewhere throughout the years it mutated to have regular leaves. It is a late season tomato plant that is also an indeterminate variety. Be sure to stake your plants well because it produces these beefsteak tomatoes that weigh over 1 pound. The flavor of this juicy fruit is balanced with a slight acidic lean while also having an old-timey taste. They would be great for slicing, canning, and selling at markets.
