Mrs Maxwells Big Italian Tomato is an heirloom tomato that comes from Italy. The seeds were given to Mrs Maxwell who lived in Mexico, Missouri from here friend in Italy. This is a mid to late season tomato plant that produce these large 13oz to a little over 16oz pink beefsteak tomatoes. Others say they could get up to 2 pounds. This is an indeterminate variety with potato leaf foliage. They are a very meaty tomato with a well-balanced flavor. They would make an excellent slicer for sandwiches.
