Description
Persimmon Tomato
This is an heirloom tomato which Thomas Jefferson grew and dates back to 1781. These are very juicy, and have a fruity sweet taste to them. They start producing mid to late season. Persimmon Tomato is an indeterminate and will keep giving you tomatoes up until frost time if taken care of. The plant produces 1 pound (453.59 gram) fruits and a lot of them. Be sure to stake your plants well, so your branches do not snap because of their weights. If you like to grow large 1 pound (453.59 gram) or more orange heirloom fruits, be sure to check out Peaches and Cream Tomato .
