Plum Heart of Italy Tomato

This is a rare heirloom tomato we got from an old seed collector. We could not find any information about this variety, all we know is the growth habits. It is a mid-season tomato plant with regular leaf foliage. An indeterminate variety that produces these red elongated tomatoes. The weights can range from 2 oz up to 4 oz. This is a thicker walled fruit that has a sweet and fruity taste with a touch of smokiness. A very flavorful tomato for canning, sauces, paste, or cut up and put on salads.
