Purple Calypso Tomato

These were created by Dean Slater of Michigan. There may be some variations in this tomato. When we got these from Dean, they were in the F3 stage. After we grew them this year, they are now in the F4 stage. Purple Calypso Tomato is a medium size beefsteak with a blend of several flavors. Those complex flavors would be sweet, fruity, and some acidity. They are good for slicing, garnishes, salsas, or cut up and put on salads, This is a mid-season tomato plant with regular leaves and an indeterminate variety.
