Roger’s Best Black Tomato

Denise Salmon received these seeds from Roger Dahlstrom from Sweden during the year 2000. The package was just called Best Black at the time. We are not sure if this is an heirloom tomato or not. What we do know is that it is a mid-season tomato plant with regular leaf foliage. It is an indeterminate variety that will produce until frost time if you take care of your plants. Be sure to stake your plants well because this is a heavy producer of these 12 oz. to 16 oz. fruits. These delicious beefsteak tomatoes are juicy, slightly acidic, and have some tartness.
