Serpent Noir Brown Pepper

We bought the red version of this pepper a few years back. Last year we finally grew it, and it ended up to be brown peppers, instead of the red peppers. So, this year we grew it again from seeds we saved last year. The pods were these beautiful chocolate brown color like the year prior. They look and grow the same as the red version but brown. The plants are compact but bushy and grow to be between 2 to 3 feet tall. They are a super hot pepper with an earthy but floral taste to them. A great pepper for sauces, powders, or to cook with.
