This is an heirloom tomato that dates back to the 1950s from the Spear’s family of Tennessee. A mid-season variety with regular leaves. These are an indeterminate plant which is a heavy producer of 8oz to 10oz beefsteak fruits. Spear’s Tennessee Green Tomato has a vibrant neon green flesh inside. The taste of this tomato is unique and quite complex. It combines citrus, acidity, tanginess, with old-timey flavor. This could be used as a slicer or add it to garnishes.
