This is an old Amish heirloom tomato. These tomatoes became commercially available in the 1990s. A mid to late season tomato with potato leaf foliage. An indeterminate that produce these giant beefsteak tomatoes. Be sure to stake your plant well because of the weight of these red tomatoes. The weight can range in size from 1 pound up to 2 pounds. They have a complex taste combing sweetness, with a richness, along with an old-timey flavor. Some uses for these large tomatoes would be for slicing, sandwiches, or crushed for canning.
