Yamali Blue-Purple Tomato

This tomato was created by Tom Wagner of Washington. This is a late season tomato plant with regular leaf foliage. An indeterminate variety that produces these small bicolored tomatoes. These are a yellow tomato with a light purple/blue coloring on the shoulders. Be sure to give these plants as much sun as possible. The reason for this is to bring out the purple/blue coloring. Especially with this variety, if you do not, none of the antho coloring will show on the fruit. The weights can range from 2 ounces up to 5 ounces. The flavor is well-balanced at first, then it turns to an acidic taste with citrus notes. A great fruit for salads, salsas, and fresh eating.
