Black From Tula Tomato

This is an heirloom tomato that originates from Russia. It is a mid-season tomato plant with regular leaf foliage. This is an indeterminate variety that will produce until frost time if the plant is taken care of. They are a steady producer of these 10 oz. to 14 oz. black beefsteak tomatoes. These delightful fruits are juicy, acidic, and rich with a touch of saltiness. They would be great for slicing, sandwiches, and selling at markets. If you like Black From Tula Tomato, then you may also like Elbonian Mudball Tomato. Be sure to check out our YouTube channel for our other heirloom tomatoes.

I think there was either a cross or a mixup. The seeds I received grew tomatoes that are bright red and don't have green shoulders. The flavor is a little on the bland side but still better than a grocery store tomato. The plant is a heavy and early producer however! I only grew one seed so I'm hoping it just slipped in and the rest will produce true Black from Tula tomatoes. ( The rest of my seed packs have been correct so far. I think this was an innocent mix up or an unknown cross. I'm very happy with the rest!)
