Black Sea Man Tomato

These are an old Russian heirloom tomato. A mid-season variety with regular leaves. This is a determinate variety which produces for 4 to 6 weeks. But in those 4 to 6 weeks, these produce loads of these black beefsteak tomatoes. Our consistent average tomato weights were around 12 oz (ca. 454 gram) and 13 oz (ca. 491 gram). Yes, we got a few over and under those weights, but the majority of our tomato weighed between 12 and 13 ounces (ca. 491 gram). The flavor of these beautiful fruits are really complex being creamy, sweet, acidic, with a hint of smokiness too. They will make excellent slicing, sandwich and sauce tomatoes.
