These were Brad Gates mixed crosses sold under the breeder section at Marianna’s Heirlooms. We have been working with this tomato for a few years, however you may find variations of it. This is a mid-season tomato plant that is also an indeterminate variety. The weight of these beautiful beefsteak tomatoes can range from 3 ounces up to 5 ounces. They have a thicker wall making them crack resistant. The flavor of these juicy fruits are sweet and fruity with a touch of acidity. They would be fantastic for slicing and sandwiches.
