Description
Cherokee Purple Tomato
This tomato dates back before the 1890s. It is an heirloom tomato that came from the Cherokee Indians. This is a mid-season tomato plant with regular leaf foliage. It is an indeterminate variety that will produce until frost time if the plant is taken care of. Be sure to stake your plants well because it produces these medium to large beefsteak tomatoes. These outstanding fruits have an old-timey taste. They could be a great tomato for slicing, sandwiches, and deli trays. If you like Cherokee Purple Tomato, you may also like Dwarf Rosella Purple Tomato. Be sure to check out our other heirloom tomatoes on our YouTube channel.
