Dr. Suds Capon Bridge Tomato

A rare heirloom tomato that originated in Capon Bridge, West Virginia. A mid to late season tomato plant (80–85 days) with regular leaf foliage. An indeterminate variety that produces these medium to large beefsteak tomatoes. Our weights range from 8 ounces (ca. 302 gram) up to 16 ounces (ca. 605 gram), but some say they can get up to 2 pounds (ca. 907 gram). We are not sure if they could get up to 2 pounds due to the placement of these plants in our garden. But we can not find any photo proof to support that large weight. These are a meaty fruit with an excellent flavor and sweet taste. A great tomato for slicing, or added to garnishes.
