Description
Fish Variegated Pepper
This is a very color pepper plant, from its white and green variegated leaves to the ripened red pods. Fish Variegated Pepper makes a nice addition to the garden. They have a Scoville heat rating from 5,000 to 30,000 (SHU). This is an heirloom variety from the Caribbean that made its way to America in the early 1800s. The pepper was almost lost in the 19th century, but Horace Pippin, who used to trade rare seeds, saved them from being lost. A great pepper for fresh eating, cooking with, sauces, and powders. Another pepper that is not too hot, you may like is Sriracha Pepper.
