Description
Inciardi Paste Tomato
This tomato was brought to the US in 1900 by Henry Inicardi who moved to Chicago from Sicily. Henry eventually passed down the seeds to his son, John Inciardi, and he would grow it every year. John gave seeds to the seed collector Vicki Nowicki, and she named the tomato after the Inciardi family. This is a mid-season tomato plant with regular leaf foliage. It is an indeterminate variety that is also an heirloom tomato. The weights of this red tomato can range from 3 oz. to 7 oz. in size. These delicious fruits are very meaty and lean towards the sweet side. They would be great for sauces, pastes, and canning. If you like this tomato, you may also like Amish Paste Tomato.
