Red Habanero Pepper
For the longest time, this use to be the hottest pepper in the world until the Carolina Reaper Pepper came along. Red Habanero Pepper has a Scoville range in heat from 100,000 to 300,000 (SHU). These are bright red and contain a bunch of heat. When eating this pepper, it tends to be more of a searing tongue burn. These are a very popular pepper with chefs when adding a spiciness to dishes. They are great for fresh eating, powders, sauces, salsas, and to cook with. This is also a very productive plant. If you would like to try a pepper with a bit more heat, check out 7 Pot Yellow Pepper.
