We got this rare pepper from a vendor in Germany a few years back. They since have closed, and we do not have any origin of this pepper except what grew. These were a late season pepper plant, around 90 plus days. The pods are slim and get to be 2 to 3 inches long. These plants are bushy and produce loads of these red peppers with a bulge toward the top. A mild to hot pod, we are not sure of the Scoville rating. These would be great for fresh eating, cooking, or added salsas and hot sauces. If you like Serpent Rojo Pepper, you may like Serrano Tampiqueno Pepper.
