This is an heirloom tomato that dates back to 1958. They were introduced to the public by Merlin W. Gleckler. This is a large red beefsteak tomato that reaches weights of from 13oz to 16oz, but could exceed 16 oz. So be sure to stake your plants well for this indeterminate tomato, plus they are over 6 feet tall. This is a mid-season tomato plant with regular leaves.
