Description
Tim’s Black Ruffles Tomato
This tomato was created by (Tim) who has a degree in botany and ecology, and worked under William Woys Weaver. He crossed of Black Krim Tomato and Zapotec Pink Pleated Tomato. Over several years he stabilized this cross. It is a mid-season tomato plant with regular leaf foliage. An indeterminate variety that produces these ruffled black tomatoes. It is a heavy producing plant, so be sure to stake your plants well. Most of our average weights were between 4 ounces and 8 ounces. Some say they can get up to 10 ounces. These are a juicy tomato on the sweet side with a touch of acidity. A good tomato for slicing, salads, and markets. If you like black beefsteak tomatoes, you may like Chernose Seroste Tomato.
