These were created by Blane Horton of Mississippi. Blane Horton is a popular, well-known breeder. He has made some great tomato creations over the year to the tomato community. These are a mid-season variety with regular leaves. Also, an indeterminate type which produces these lovely mahogany colored beefsteak fruits with green stripes. They are very juicy with exceptional flavors to them. Their flavors consist of being sweet and fruity. Blane’s Surpriz Tomato definitely rank up on our list of one of Blane’s best tomatoes he has created. We see why it was a surpriz to him.
