Brutus Magnum Tomato
This is a late season heirloom variety with regular leaves. These are an indeterminate tomato that grow quite large. Be sure to stake your plants well with this variety. They are a good producer of these large beefsteak tomatoes. Our largest Brutus Magnum Tomato was 1 lb (ca. 454 gram) 10 oz (ca. 378 gram). There have been articles of this tomato getting even larger than what we grew. Some others have used this variety for tomato competitions. They are very meaty with an old-timey rich flavor with slight acidity and a hint of sweetness. This tomato could be used as a slicer, canning or sandwiches. Be sure to check out our video review of this tomato on YouTube. If you like extra large red tomatoes, you may also like Kremlin Chiming Clock Tomato.
