Greasy Creek Tomato
This is an Appalachian heirloom tomato. These tomatoes were grown by the Bishop family for many generations. The resided in Bell County, Kentucky. A mid-season variety with regular leaf foliage. An indeterminate variety that produce these large yellow beefsteak tomatoes. Our average weight was around 10 ounces (ca. 378 gram) due to garden placement. Some say they can reach up to 1 pound (ca. 454 gram) or more in size. A meaty tomato with a sweet and fruity taste. These tomatoes could be used for slicing, canning, and garnishes.
