Hungarian Heart Tomato

An heirloom tomato that came from Hungary Back in the 1900s. A late season variety with regular leaves. It produces these large sized ox-heart shaped fruits that have few seeds in them but seem to be crack resistant too. We have gotten weights that averaged 14oz to16oz, but also gotten a few fruits that weighed more. They are an indeterminate plant, so they will produce until the frost comes. These have a more acidic with an old-timey flavor to them, but very juicy and meaty. An excellent tomato for sauces, pastes, canning, or slicing.
