These are one of many colored Habanero Peppers. The Scoville heat units for this pepper range from 100,000 to 350,000 SHU. A chili head would consider this a medium heat. But someone who has not experienced hot peppers, this will be hot. Some hot peppers heat attacks your throat. This one attacks your tongue. Many years ago, Habanero Pepper was the hottest pepper. Then people wanted hotter peppers, and people started breeding peppers to get something hotter. These can be added to sauces, powders, or meals to bring extra spiciness.
