For the longest time, this use to be the hottest pepper in the world until the Carolina Reaper Pepper came along. Red Habanero Pepper has a Scoville range in heat from 100,000 to 300,000 (SHU). These are bright red and contain a bunch of heat. When eating this pepper, it tends to be more of a searing tongue burn. These are a very popular pepper with chefs when adding a spiciness to dishes.
