Description
Rumi Banjan Tomato
This is a rare heirloom tomato that comes from Afghanistan and dates back to 1937. These plants yield different sized and shaped fruits. This was concluded to be a land race tomato back in 2014 by Dr. Carolyn Male from Tomatoville. Here is a link to the Tville conversation about this tomato. In the last post, Carolyn, concludes it to be a land race fruit. These are a mid-season tomato plant with regular leaf foliage. A determinate variety that will yield fruits for 4 to 6 weeks. After the 4 to 6 weeks, they are done producing these tomatoes. The weights can range from 2 to 3 ounces. This tomato has a bold, sweet but acidic flavor. A good tomato for salads, fresh eating, or markets. If you like Rumi Banjan Tomato, you may like Grungy in the Sky Tomato. Be sure to check out YouTube channel Tomato Reviews, Pictures, and More.
