Stutzman Black Tomato

This was created by the late Millard Murdock of East Flat Rock, North Carolina. A mid to late season plant with regular leaf foliage. An indeterminate plant that produce these 4oz (ca. 151 gram) to 16oz (ca. 605 gram) dark brown beefsteaks with green shoulders. They have some slight ribbing on the outside of the tomato. These tomatoes are very juicy and meaty with a combination of several flavors. Those flavors are sweet, tangy, with an added smokiness. An excellent tomato for sampling at farmers markets, slicing, or sauces. This tomato will elevate any meal it is added too. If you like this tomato, you may like Bounty’s Best Tomato.
