Thornburn’s Terra Cotta Tomato

This is an heirloom tomato that dates back to 1893. First introduced to the public by J. M. Thornburn Company. A mid-season tomato plant with regular leaf foliage. An indeterminate variety that produce these copper colored tomatoes. The weight range we got were 4 ounces (ca. 151 gram) up to 13 ounces (ca. 491 gram). A juicy fruit that leans towards the acid side but blended with a sweetness and citrus notes. This very flavorful tomato could be used for slicing, sauces, and garnishes.
