Trucker’s Favorite Tomato

A commercially released heirloom from New Jersey before 1899 by Atlee Burpee. This is a mid-season tomato plant with regular leaf foliage. An indeterminate variety that is a heavy producer of these beefsteak tomatoes. Be sure to take care of your plants so they keep yielding fruits until frost time. These tomatoes are very popular at the farmers markets. The weights can range from 6 ounces up to 12 ounces. We got a couple over 1 pound. They have a rich sweet flavor with an old-timey taste.
