Zebra Bean
This is an heirloom bean that dates back to the 1800s. Some say this is an old Pennsylvanian Dutch Bean. But they could have originated in Mexico or South West America. No one is exactly sure where they originated from because of it was dispersed so early. This is a bush bean that is an early season variety around 60-70 days. These plants are very productive and get to be around 14 inches tall. This is a pinto bean that are well known for being used in Mexican and African dishes. They have a great rich and smooth taste.
