Abraham Brown Tomato
This tomato was a cross that happened in Millard Murdocks garden. He worked with it over a course of years to stabilize it. Millard is no longer with us, but he did leave us this great tomato. These are a mid-season variety that has potato leaves. It is also an indeterminate tomato plant. This plant is an excellent producer of these large, gorgeous brown beefsteak fruits. Be sure to stake your plants well due to the production and weights of these fruits. We had a lot of these tomatoes weigh 1 pound (ca. 454 g) or more. The flavor is very well-balanced but yet complexed, not being too sweet or acidic. A very delicious tomato that could be used for slicing, sandwiches, also a great farmers market tomato too. We also have a review of Abraham Brown tomato on our YouTube Channel. If you like larger black tomato, be sure to check out Gerig Tomato.
