Big Dolly Red Tomato

This variety was not as productive as we thought it would be. The reason was our fault due to where we put it in the garden. This is a late season tomato plant with regular wispy leaves. An indeterminate variety, that produces these large heart shaped tomatoes. Ours were on the smaller side, with a weight range from 8 ounces (ca. 302 gram) to 12 ounces (ca. 454 gram). Some say they can get up to 2 pounds (ca. 907 gram) in size. These are a very meaty oxheart tomato with more of an acidic flavor.
