Dwarf Silvery Tree Fir Tomato
This is an heirloom dwarf tomato that originated from Russia. It was introduced to the USA back in 1990. The Russian name for this fruit is ‘Serebristaya El’. A mid-season tomato plant (73–75 days) with wispy regular carrot top leaves. This is also a disease resistant plant and a determinate variety. They will produce for 4 to 6 weeks, then they will be done yielding fruits. But they produce a lot in this time period. These red tomatoes make an excellent fruit for markets, canning and slicing. The average weights for these fruits are between 4 ounces (ca. 151 gram) and 6 ounces (ca. 227 gram). A slightly acidic taste, but more on the mellow side.
